‘Amble at Hahndorf is life at your own pace’ We believe it is our responsibility to you, and the region, that the ‘provisions’ in your room, are locally sourced where possible and are what we would enjoy when staying at ‘Amble at Hahndorf’.

Bred in the Adelaide Hills on an apple orchard, with a grand entrance and lots of showmanship, was born in the back of a Ford Prefect opposite the Gumeracha Weir!!
I am used to the lifestyle that the Hills area provides for you. I wish to extend my knowledge to our guests with the choice of produce from the local area. Having worked locally too, I will be able to offer our guest a few of the many secrets hidden in the Adelaide Hills.
Being an avid golfer, I have caddied for both local amateur and professional golfers. I suggest on your stay at ‘Amble at Hahndorf’ that you might like to take your turn at bashing a white ball around the undulating fairways of the Mt Barker and Hahndorf Golf Club. Have a chat with Anne-Marie or Ben in the Pro Shop, I am sure you he can help you out with the necessary equipment.
Some of my passions include be coming a Ski Instructor in Canada while working on a Canadian Work Visa. My goal is to be strapped into a Bob Sled and be hurtled down the Bob Sled track. I have skied with some of the best skiers in the world, guys from the Australian and Canadian Olympic teams.
But as a true Aussie would say ‘I still call Australia Home’, especially Adelaide, I think we are so lucky to have such a great lifestyle.
With a nickname of ‘Woger”, courtesy of my cute nieces when they were learning to talk and the release of animated movie Roger Rabbit.
PS: I have a couple of soft spots, just love the caramel slice from Just Coffee... And I think Amble at Hahndorf is one of Hahndorf’s best kept secrets.

As a young girl I grew up enjoying the pleasures of country and coast. The ‘country’ element took me into the Mallee region of SA for many school holidays and gave me a multitude of happy ‘life experiences’ that were the founding of the person I have become. The ‘coast’ was the beautiful area of Grange and was the safe haven of my childhood.
Considered more of a ‘Tom Boy’, many adventures throughout my life took me into areas and places not considered ‘feminine’. The advantages were boundless. I was able to take advantage and fully enjoy many and any, of the outdoors experiences I was exposed too! Such a buzz!! (Still love finding critters!!!)
As a young adult, life took me on a journey via Whyalla for 12 months and then on to Ceduna on the Far West Coast of South Australia to encompass nearly 20 years.
Ceduna is the birth place of my two beautiful girls, and it provided the additional ‘schooling’ I required to become a more rounded and contributing adult. I became very involved in the community doing committee/volunteer work along with my paid work.
My adventures have taken me into many isolated regions, but Antarctica and camping on the ‘ice’ would be the ‘pinnacle’ at this point in my travels.
Now venturing into the ‘Bed and Breakfast’ industry, I know that my previous experiences will greatly enhance my life to come.
